Experts are poised to engage in discussions concerning the pivotal role of capital markets in driving economic growth within Nigeria during the upcoming 39th Omolayole Management Lecture Series, scheduled to take place in Lagos.
This lecture series is organized jointly by the Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered), in collaboration with the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry,
Chartered Institute of Personnel Management, Nigeria Employers’ Consultative Association, Omolayole and Associates, and AIESEC Alumni Nigeria. The event is themed “Interplay between capital markets and economic growth: Exploring the dynamic relationship.”
During this annual lecture, in-depth analysis will be conducted to shed light on how the capital market serves as a vehicle for channeling savings into productive investments and as a mechanism for efficiently allocating resources.
In a statement issued ahead of the lecture, Dr. Christiana Atako, the host, President, and Chairman of the Council of NIM, emphasized the paramount role that capital markets play in shaping the nation’s economic prosperity.
Capital markets contribute to improving economic growth through investment, innovation, job creation, and economic stability, all of which are integral elements of sustainable growth.
Dr. Atako remarked, “The 39th Omolayole Management Lecture Series serves as a platform to delve into the profound impact of capital markets in Nigeria.
It provides an opportunity to explore the dynamic relationship between these markets and economic growth, aligning perfectly with Dr. Omolayole’s vision of promoting excellence in management and business leadership.

The guest speaker for the event will be Mr. Kyari Bukar, the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Africa Operations at Inlaks Limited. The event will also feature other notable speakers.
This occasion will pay tribute to the enduring legacy of Dr. Michael Omolayole, an esteemed figure in the realms of business and management.
