Kylie Jenner Removes Instagram Story Expressing Solidarity with Israel

Date:

Kylie Jenner initially shared a post on her Instagram story expressing support for Israel following an attack by Hamas over the weekend.

However, she swiftly deleted the post, and her recent Instagram feed is now filled with messages supporting Palestinians.

Many of her followers responded with images of the Palestinian flag and calls for “free Palestine.” Jenner had also shared a post from the account @StandWithUS, which stated, “now and always we stand with the people of Israel.”

Reports indicate that Jenner removed the post approximately an hour after posting it, but comments expressing pro-Palestinian sentiments continued to pour into her Instagram.

In response to the Hamas attack, Israel’s Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, declared a state of “war” on Sunday and called for a robust military response, emphasizing that Israel was in a state of war rather than an operation or rounds of conflict.

Hamas launched a surprise rocket attack that resulted in the death of at least 600 Israelis and the injury of over 2,000 others.

They also took numerous hostages in Gaza, prompting the Israeli military to prepare for engagement.

Israel’s security cabinet likewise declared war, unlocking the authorization for “significant military activities,” as announced by Netanyahu’s office.

At the time of these events, Kylie Jenner’s team had not responded to requests for comments.

President Biden and other cabinet officials had condemned the attacks on Saturday while reaffirming the United States’ support for Israel.
