CKay Sets the Record as ‘Love Nwantiti’ Certified Platinum in UK

CKay sets the record as the first Nigerian artist to have a song BRIT-certified platinum song

The record-breaking song ‘Love Nwantiti’ (ah ah ah) from Afrobeats singer, CKay is now certified platinum in the UK shortly after it hit its platinum status in the US.

BRIT Awards Twitter handle was used to congratulate the singer, and tell the rest of the world this feat accomplished by the Nigerian music star.

 wrote BRIT Awards on Twitter.

CKay sets the record as the first Nigerian artist to have a song BRIT-certified platinum song after selling over 600,000 of the hit song.

The song also achieved platinum status in Canada, Austria, Italy, New Zealand and Portugal as well.

‘Love Nwantiti’ (ah ah ah)  by CKay was released in 2019, and has continued to break record after record as it was certified platinum in the UK shortly after it hit its platinum status in the US as well.

The song was originally released as part of Ckay’s 8-track E.P, and it became one of the best performing songs on the E.P and earned itself a remix with afro pop star Joeboy and Ghanaian singer Kuami Eugene which was released in 2020 and became a big hit all over the world
