Nollywood actress and producer, Moyo Lawal, has reassured her fans that she remains resilient despite the unauthorized release of her intimate video in September.
Lawal gained widespread attention when her private video was leaked on social media in September.
While she had previously announced her intention to pursue legal action against the individual responsible for the video’s release, she also identified the man featured in the video as her former fiancé.
She emphasized that the video, which was recorded with her ex-fiancé, was never meant for public consumption, and its unauthorized distribution violated her personal boundaries.
In a recent Instagram post on Sunday, the ‘A Time To Heal’ actress shed more light on her life in the weeks following the leak of her intimate video.
She expressed, “One thing I can confirm is that appearances can be deceiving.
I engaged in such an intimate encounter only twice last year, and one of those times was the video I agreed to because he began recording after the act, and he doesn’t reside in Nigeria.”
Lawal also mentioned the effort her ex-fiancé had invested in building trust over the years, indicating plans for a future together, including a house and marriage.
Addressing the allegations that she had released the video herself, she said, “To those who believed I released the video due to baseless rumors, I refrained from pointing fingers or engaging in blame games, choosing instead to remain silent to resolve the situation swiftly.
I genuinely don’t know how to respond to you.”
She concluded by remarking, “They say adversity can make you stronger and transform you.
I pray that I can become carefree and outgoing, because living life the right way has demonstrated my resilience to my adversaries.
To whoever orchestrated this scheme to torment me and derail my career, I want to make it clear that I haven’t lost my faith; I stand strong, continue to strive, thrive, and am well-supported.
