Kogi2023: Dino/Deen Campaign Expresses Concern Regarding Takeover of Hotels by Yahaya Bello’s Government.
The Dino/Deen Campaign Council of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has voiced its apprehension over recent reports indicating that the Kogi State government has issued a request for all hotels in the state to surrender their rooms to designated state officials.
The campaign contends that the directive to block access to all hotels in Kogi state by the government serves a concerning purpose – namely, to facilitate the accommodation of hired troublemakers, rogue security personnel, and other non-state actors by Governor Yahaya Bello and the agents of the APC. This appears to be a deliberate scheme in preparation for possible disturbances in the upcoming gubernatorial election scheduled for November 11.
Furthermore, our campaign has received information about Governor Bello’s alleged plans to utilize these individuals to seize electoral materials on the election day, following the completion of the accreditation process.
We strongly advise hotel owners to decline the state government’s request to release their hotel rooms, as complying with this request could place them at odds with the interests of the public.
It is crucial for hotel proprietors in the state to safeguard their establishments against being exploited by Governor Bello, whose policies have adversely affected the state’s economy and the livelihoods of its people.
The battle to free Kogi state from Governor Bello’s grip and restore economic prosperity to its residents hinges on the outcome of the November 11 election, and Senator Dino Melaye is uniquely positioned to lead our state toward this positive transformation.
We, therefore, implore the people of Kogi not to allow their business enterprises to become sanctuaries for criminals, hooligans, and troublemakers that the APC may intend to import to sow chaos in the state.
