The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority is set to allocate N8.3 billion for transportation and travels in the year 2024, as revealed in the recent budget proposal submitted to President Bola Tinubu.
Operating as the regulatory body for aviation in Nigeria, the NCAA plays a crucial role in the nation’s transportation system and economy.
The proposed budget outlines specific allocations, including N3.31 billion for local transport and travels for training, N4.32 billion for international transport, and N715.47 million for local travels and other expenses.
Additionally, the budget encompasses various expenditures such as N3 billion for vehicle purchases, N1.35 billion for furniture and office fittings, N3.97 billion for office building construction, and N1.2 billion for electricity provision.
The agency also plans to dedicate N1 billion for the maintenance of airport physical assets and facilities.
