The Ranks Africa Aviation Awards (RAAVA) is a curated continental recognition initiative by Ranks Africa, established to celebrate outstanding achievements, industry contributions, innovation and leadership across Africa’s aviation sector.
As part of Ranks Africa’s broader commitment to recognising excellence, celebrating achievements and spotlighting individuals and organisations shaping industries across the continent, RAAVA brings a dedicated focus to African aviation.
The initiative recognises the airlines connecting African cities to the world, the airports transforming passenger experiences, the companies driving aviation development and the individuals whose vision, leadership and professional contributions continue to shape the industry’s future.
From commercial airlines and airport operations to aviation infrastructure, cargo and logistics, aircraft maintenance, technology, training, private aviation and industry leadership, RAAVA provides a platform for recognising the people, businesses and institutions contributing meaningfully to the growth and advancement of African aviation.
The Passenger’s Choice
Under the theme “The Passenger’s Choice,” RAAVA places particular emphasis on the experiences, preferences and perspectives of passengers, recognising that the true measure of aviation service extends beyond operations to the people who travel.
Passenger-focused categories will incorporate public participation and customer feedback, while industry-specific recognitions will be guided by editorial research, documented achievements and independent assessments.
This approach allows RAAVA to celebrate both outstanding passenger experiences and the wider contributions driving Africa’s aviation industry forward.
Africa’s 100 Most Impactful People in Aviation
As part of the 2026 recognition programme, Ranks Africa will also spotlight Africa’s 100 Most Impactful People in Aviation 2026, celebrating influential leaders, entrepreneurs, professionals, innovators and industry contributors whose achievements have made a meaningful impact on African aviation.
The selection will be independently curated through editorial research and assessment of industry contributions, professional achievements, leadership, innovation and measurable impact.
