The family of the late South African rapper Kiernan Forbes (aka AKA) has announced plans to release his upcoming album Mass Country.
Before his death, Forbes shared several posts on their social media to promote their new album due out this February.
According to a press statement posted on the artist’s official Instagram page on Thursday, the Forbes family will continue to post their work as planned “to honor his legacy.”
As the nation mourns the tragic and untimely death of Kiernan aka Forbes, the Forbes family is grateful for the love and support from South Africa and beyond.
The family continues to please the son. To honor their legacy, they have decided to continue with the release of their main country album scheduled for February 24, 2023.
At the request of the rapper, the song “Company” featuring Nigerian Kiddominant will be released on Friday ahead of the release of the full album next week.
AKA was killed along with close friend Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane in a shootout in Durban, South Africa, on Friday.
