Atiku expresses concern about Tinubu’s academic records, highlighting their potential impact on Nigeria’s reputation

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar expressed deep concern about the controversy surrounding President Bola Tinubu’s certificate from Chicago State University, stating that it jeopardizes Nigeria’s reputation.

He called on all stakeholders to uphold democratic principles and uncover the truth about the certificate submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission.

Atiku emphasized that this quest for truth and justice is not about him but about ensuring transparency, morality, justice, and accountability in public affairs.

He called on fellow leaders, including Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso, as well as all Nigerians who care for the country’s well-being, to join in this campaign.

Furthermore, Atiku pledged to pursue his petition before the Supreme Court until a verdict is reached, emphasizing his commitment to the legal process.

Recent developments included the release of President Tinubu’s academic records by Chicago State University, which confirmed his attendance at the institution.

Despite the Presidency’s assertion that the records vindicated the President and did not suggest forgery, Atiku intended to file his application at the Supreme Court, using the documents obtained from the university to support his election appeal against President Tinubu, his opponent in the 2023 presidential election.
