Ayra Starr Releases Second Solo Single Of The Year With ‘Rhythm & Blues’

Ayra Starr has a hit on her hands as she releases a new single, ‘Rhythm & Blues’ six months after the release of her hit single ‘Sability,’ which stamped her place as one of Nigeria’s best hitmakers in recent memory.

‘Rhythm & Blues’ showcases Ayra Starr’s airy vocals over a romantic ballad produced by Sparrq, the fast-rising producer behind the production of Bayanni’s ‘Family,’ Boy Spyce’s ‘Folake’ and Davido’s ‘Bop.’

The new single explores a side of Ayra Starr we got a fleeting feel of in her debut album, ’19 & Dangerous,’ where she shared 11 tracks that showcased her range and unrivalled pen game.

In 2023, she capitalises on this range on features with South African artiste Tyla, Little Mix star Leigh-Anne, and Nigeria’s BOJ while releasing hit singles like ‘Sability,’ which has amassed over 100 million streams worldwide.

Since her emergence into the music space, the music star has received multiple awards, including a recent win at the 16th Headies as the Best Female Artiste of the Year. She was also nominated in the Best African Act at the 2023 VMAs alongside acts like Davido, Burna Boy, Rema, and Fireboy.
