CAC is set to remove more than 91,000 companies due to regulatory violations

Date:

The Corporate Affairs Commission plans to remove 91,843 companies from its registry due to their failure to submit annual returns.

In an updated list on its website, the commission reduced the number from the initially announced 94,581.

This action aligns with the earlier statement by the Registrar-General, Garba Abubakar, who emphasized the enforcement of delisting 100,000 companies for non-compliance with annual return filings.

The commission urges companies to verify their status and those erroneously listed can appeal within 30 days.

Non-compliant companies face restrictions and legal consequences, emphasizing the commission’s commitment to upholding regulatory standards
