On Tuesday, the 2023 Senior School Certificate Examination results were officially unveiled by the National Examination Council.
According to Prof. Dantani Wushishi, the Registrar of the examination body, the summary of the results indicates that 61.60 percent of candidates achieved five credits, which includes English and Mathematics.
This is a slight improvement compared to the previous year, where 0.07 percent of candidates, totaling 12,030, fell short of the requirement, as opposed to 0.13 percent or 13,594 candidates in 2022.
For this year’s examination, a total of 1,205,888 candidates registered, and 1,196,985 candidates successfully took the exams. To access the 2023 Senior School Certificate Examination results, you can follow these step-by-step instructions:
1. Visit the NECO result-checking portal at https://results.neco.gov.ng/.
2. Choose your examination year and type (SSCE Internal, SSCE External, BECE, NCEE, or GIFTED).
3. Provide the token sent to your registered mobile number.
4. Enter your registration number.
5. Click on the “Check my result” button.
