Davido reveals a generous donation of N300 million to orphanages

David Adeleke, the renowned Nigerian afrobeat artist, widely recognized as Davido, has publicized a generous contribution of 300 million Naira to orphanages nationwide.

This benevolent announcement was made via his X (formerly Twitter) account on Tuesday, with further details regarding the allocation scheduled to be shared on Wednesday.

Notably, Davido, in collaboration with the David Adeleke Foundation, consistently engages in annual philanthropic endeavors by providing donations to various orphanages.

He wrote, “I and my foundation pledge the sum of 300 million Naira to orphanages around Nigeria … as my yearly contribution to the Nation  .. details of disbursement tomorrow.”

Davido has consistently demonstrated his commitment to supporting foster homes in Nigeria.

In November 2021, PUNCH Online highlighted his philanthropy as he generously contributed N250 million to 292 orphanages to commemorate his 29th birthday.

Continuing his benevolent efforts, in July 2023, the musician further extended his support by donating N237 million to over 400 orphanages across Nigeria.
