Despite police warnings, protesters take to the streets in Lagos amid economic hardships

Date:

On Monday, the “Take It Back Movement,” a human rights group, took to the streets of Lagos State to demonstrate against the escalating food prices and the overall high cost of living.

This protest came in response to the warning issued by Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Adegoke Fayoade, the day before.

The demonstrators, holding placards with various messages, gathered at Ojuelegba under the bridge area to express their concerns about the prevailing economic challenges in the country.
