Can you tell us about your journey into the world of theatre and the arts?

My journey into theatre began during my undergraduate studies at the University of Lagos. I was exposed to various aspects of theatre, including acting, directing, and playwriting. After completing my degree, I began working with several theatre companies in Nigeria, including Drumsview Concept, Kininso Koncept Productions, and G7th Theater and Media Company.

You’ve had the opportunity to work on a play project for the British Council/UKAID’s Nigeria Stability and Reconciliation Program. Can you tell us more about this experience?

Yes, I assisted in producing and co-directing a play project that toured ten Nigerian states, addressing critical issues such as insurgency, domestic violence, unemployment, corruption, and impunity. This experience was incredibly rewarding, as it allowed me to use my skills to make a positive impact on society.

You’ve participated in numerous performances throughout your career. Which ones stand out to you as particularly memorable?

I’ve been fortunate to have been a part of many memorable performances, including _Adulawo_ (2012), _Jungle Justice_ (2015), _SandScape_ (2016), and _Punctuation_ (2018). Each of these performances was unique and challenging in its own way, and I’m grateful to have had the opportunity to be a part of them.

How has your artistic prowess been shaped by your experiences and collaborations with other artists?

I’ve been fortunate to have worked with many talented artists and directors throughout my career, including Wole Oguntokun, Joshua Alabi, Isioma Williams, Felix Emoruwa, Steve James, Segun Adefila, and Azeez Oyetoro. These collaborations have been invaluable in shaping my artistic style and approach.

What advice would you give to aspiring artists looking to make a name for themselves in the industry?
