Ola Yusuf, a Nigerian filmmaker based in the United States, is poised to captivate movie enthusiasts with his upcoming series, ‘Godmother.’

According to a statement shared with Saturday Beats, Yusuf collaborated with Captain Degzy, co-director of the successful film ‘A Tribe Called Judah.’

The five-part series delves into a true-life narrative encompassing Nigerian politics, unionism, cultism, power shifts, and campus dynamics.

Yusuf emphasized the uniqueness of Nigerian stories and talents, expressing his goal to showcase them globally.

The series exposes corruption within student union governments and decision-makers in schools, set against the backdrop of the University of Ibadan’s distinctive architectural structures, chosen for their historical resonance despite the story unfolding in 2006.
