Sweden got the internet agog over the weekend after pronouncing sex as a sport and finalised agreements for its maiden sex tournament billed for Thursday, June 8.
Head of the Swedish Federation of Sex Dragan Bratych, during the announcement, underlined the importance of sexual activity, saying it can improve oneβs physical and mental health.
Bratych said education and training is very essential in order to improve oneβs ability, just like in other sports.
He said,Β βLike any sport, getting the results you want in sex requires training.β
As the competition gets set to kick off on Thursday, here are five things to know about it:
1. It will last six weeks.
2. Participants will engage in sexual activity daily for 45 to one hour depending on the length of their bouts.
3. The competition has three levels, and in order to advance to the next level, the contestant must obtain a certain minimum number of points at each one.
4. The audience will watch the sex competitions and will take note of various features of the sexual activity.
5. The coupleβs chemistry, their understanding of sex, their level of endurance, and other vital sexual features will all be considered when deciding who emerges winner.
