Funmi Awelewa, also known as Morili Omo Ibadan, has embarked on a new chapter in her career by stepping into the role of a director in the movie titled ‘A Wish,’ according to a statement she sent to Saturday Beats.

In the statement, Awelewa explained that the film delves into her personal life, particularly focusing on her mother’s struggle with sight loss.

Awelewa expressed her deep appreciation for the challenging yet rewarding experience of directing this film, as it mirrors her own life story and holds great sentimental value to her.

This talented actress-turned-filmmaker emphasized that ‘A Wish,’ produced by her company, Faab Entertainment, was shot at the very locations where she grew up.
