Less than 48 hours after returning to the country, Ondo State Governor Mr. Rotimi Akeredolu has expressed his heartfelt appreciation to President Bola Tinubu, the citizens of Ondo State, and various stakeholders for the overwhelming support he received during his recent illness.
Officially resuming his duties on Friday following a medical vacation in Germany, Governor Akeredolu informed the State House of Assembly about his return. He credited the prayers of the people for his swift recovery, as stated in a release titled “Thank you for your show of love. I am back!”
Governor Akeredolu conveyed his deep gratitude for the outpouring of love and affection he received from eminent individuals, groups, organizations, political associates, and the people of Ondo State.
He recognized the immense value of the prayers, kind words, messages of support, and various acts of kindness during his recovery process, which significantly contributed to his healing and strengthened his faith in God and commitment to serving humanity.
He extended his appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Vice President Senator Kashim Shettima, Senate President Senator Godswill Akpabio, members of the Senate, the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, led by Chairman AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq, and the Progressives Governors Forum, led by Imo State Governor Senator Hope Uzodinma.
Additionally, Governor Akeredolu expressed his thanks to Speaker of the House of Representatives Rt. Hon. Abass Tajudeen, members of the House of Representatives, members of the Federal Executive Council, the National Leadership of the All Progressives Congress, led by Chairman Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, and other prominent party leaders.
He acknowledged the support of the Nigeria Bar Association, the judiciary, including honorable justices of various courts, and a wide range of stakeholders, including civil servants, labor leaders, religious leaders, and market women.
Governor Akeredolu affirmed his administration’s unwavering commitment to the development of Ondo State and emphasized that they would continue to work diligently towards achieving their set goals and objectives in alignment with the “REDEEMED” agenda. He declared, “We are back, and better.”
