Lagos facilitates the transport of 310 pilgrims to the destinations of Jordan and Israel

On Saturday night, the Lagos State Government successfully transported 310 eager pilgrims who were originally slated to participate in the Easter pilgrimage to the Kingdom of Jordan and Israel.

These pilgrims safely arrived in the Kingdom of Jordan early Sunday morning, following a seven-hour flight that departed from Muritala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, and landed at the Queen Alia International Airport in Jordan, as stated in an official announcement.

Prior to their departure, the pilgrims gathered on Saturday for final administrative and logistical preparations at the Chapel of Christ The Light in Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos.

During this gathering, a session of prayers and praises was also held.

Rev Yakubu Pam, the Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrims Commission, addressed the pilgrims at the chapel, emphasizing the importance of dedicating time to pray for Nigeria, especially as the country celebrated its 63rd Independence Day anniversary.

Very Rev. Bukola Adeleke, the Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Christian Religion, reassured the intending pilgrims of Nigeria’s resilience and its ability to regain a strong position among nations.

He expressed gratitude for the unwavering support provided by the state governor to ensure that the pilgrims have a rewarding experience and receive top-notch welfare packages.

Mrs. Yetunde Gbafe, the Executive Secretary of the Lagos State Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board, urged the intending pilgrims to diligently follow all the instructions and guidelines provided in the pilgrimage handbooks, emphasizing the importance of adhering to Dos and Don’ts for a successful journey.
