Lagos welcomes its newest police commissioner

The Lagos State Police Command has appointed Fayoade Adegoke Mustapha as the new Commissioner of Police, succeeding Idowu Owohunwa, who recently attained the rank of Assistant Inspector-General of Police.

The appointment, communicated through a police wireless message dated December 11, 2023 (TH.5361/FS/FHQ/ABJ/T.5/103), signed by the Nigeria Police Force Secretary on behalf of the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, is effective immediately.

The Lagos State Police spokesman, Benjamin Hundeyin, verified Fayoade’s deployment and indicated that he is likely to assume office on Wednesday.
