In an exclusive interview with nollywood filmmaker Titi Jeje, a graduate of English Language from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife, we had the privilege to delve into the mind of this prolific film director. Titi Jeje, currently the Chairman of Tampan Guild of Directors, shared with our correspondent some of the challenges he has faced in his illustrious career.

Titi Jeje, a distinguished film director, has honed his skills through his educational background in English Language at Obafemi Awolowo University. His expertise and passion for the craft have propelled him to the forefront of the industry, earning him the esteemed position of Chairman at Tampan Guild of Directors.

During our exclusive interview, Titi Jeje candidly discussed the hurdles he has encountered as a director. These challenges, though demanding, have only served to strengthen his resolve and fuel his creative spirit. His unwavering dedication to his craft has allowed him to overcome obstacles and emerge as a force to be reckoned with in the film industry.

As a visionary director, Titi Jeje has navigated the intricate world of filmmaking with finesse and innovation. His unique perspective and ability to bring stories to life on the silver screen have captivated audiences worldwide. His work stands as a testament to his unwavering commitment to excellence and his unwavering pursuit of artistic brilliance.

However, he also acknowledged the challenges that come with his profession. One of the biggest challenges is being away from his family for extended periods of time. As a director, he often has to stay on set for weeks, which can be difficult for him and his loved ones. Despite this challenge, he remains passionate about filmmaking and encourages others to pursue their dreams, as they never know who might be watching.

His journey in directing began at a young age when he and his friends would make movies in a small house in Ile Ife. Although he didn’t have much knowledge about directing at the time, his passion drove him to learn more. He eventually left for film school to gain the necessary skills and knowledge. After completing film school in 2014, he fully embarked on his career as a director.

When asked about how he became the Chairman of Tampan Guild of Directors, he explained that he had been supporting his predecessor, Damola Olatunji. He actively participated in a program and was part of the committee that made it a success. Little did he know that he was being considered as the next chairman. During discussions with some individuals about the next executive committee, it was revealed that he was the chosen one. With the support of his peers, he took on the role of Chairman.

His ideology revolves around the conservation and safeguarding of African culture. He believes that storytelling plays a crucial role in preserving African culture and traditions. Through their work, directors have the power to showcase the richness and diversity of African heritage.

As the Chairman of Tampan Guild of Directors, Titi Jeje has several responsibilities towards his fellow directors in the industry. He aims to maintain peace, love, and harmony among the directors.
