The Chief Justice of Nigeria is scheduled to administer the oath of office to 23 Federal High Court judges on Wednesday

The newly appointed 23 Judges of the Federal High Court will be sworn in on Wednesday by Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Olukayode Ariwoola.

This significant event will take place at 11:00 am in the main courtroom of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, as announced by Dr. Festus Akande, the Director of Press and Information of the Supreme Court.

The statement also lists the names of the newly appointed Judges, who come from various states across Nigeria.

These judges include Dipeolu Deinde Isaac, Ogundare Kehinde Olayiwola, Agbaje Olufunmilola Adetutu, Musa Kakaki, Abdullahi Muhammad Dan-Ige, Sharon Tanko Ishaya, Salim Olasupo Ibrahim, Yilwa Hauwa Joseph, Wigwe-Oreh Chituru Joy, Owoeye Alexander Oluseyi, Anyalewa Onoja-Alapa, Amina Aliyu Mohammad, Abiodun Jordan Adeyemi, Hauwa Buhari, and Aishatu Auta Ibrahim, among others.

Furthermore, a valedictory Court session will be held on Tuesday, 10th October, 2023, in memory of the late Justice Chima Centus Nweze at the main courtroom of the Supreme Court at 10:00 am.

This session, presided over by the Chief Justice of Nigeria, will include tributes by the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF), the Chairman of the Body of Senior Advocates of Nigeria (BOSAN), and the President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), as a tribute to the departed Jurist.

Justice Chima Centus Nweze, who passed away on Saturday, 29th July 2023, had a distinguished legal career and a significant impact on the legal community.

He was born in Obollo, Udenu Local Government Area of Enugu State on 25th September 1958, and he had a remarkable educational journey, culminating in his Doctorate Degree in Law from the University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus.
