The Senegal coach spends a night in the hospital following their AFCON win

Date:

Senegal coach Aliou Cisse rejoined his team on Saturday after spending a night under observation in an Ivorian hospital.

The Lions of Teranga are defending their Africa Cup of Nations title. Senegalese Football Federation president Augustin Senghor explained that Cisse experienced a minor gastric infection on Thursday, leaving him fatigued.

Despite this, Cisse was on the touchline for Senegal’s 3-1 victory over Cameroon in Yamoussoukro, securing their spot in the last 16.

Senghor reassured that Cisse’s condition was not serious. Rangers forward Abdallah Sima, however, had to leave the tournament due to an adductor injury.
