Top-performing UTME candidate achieves a stellar WASSCE result, securing eight A1 grades.

Kamsiyochukwu Umeh, the standout performer in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, once again displayed her exceptional academic prowess by achieving remarkable results in the West African Senior School Certificate Examination.

The 16-year-old prodigy, hailing from Anambra State and attending Deeper Life High School in Mowe, Ogun State, secured an impressive array of grades – 8 A1s and a B2.

Her exceptional achievements included A1 scores in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, Further Mathematics, Economics, Civic Education, Computer Studies, and Dyeing and Bleaching, along with a B2 in Physics.

Notably, Umeh had previously garnered significant recognition for clinching the top position in the 2023 UTME, boasting a cumulative score of 360.

Her subject-specific scores in the UTME were equally noteworthy, with an exceptional 99 in Chemistry, 98 in Mathematics, 97 in Physics, and 66 in English.

Acknowledging her outstanding accomplishments, Umeh received a slew of awards, including a coveted scholarship from the Anambra State government.

Additionally, she was honored with a cash prize of N2.5 million from Chief Eric Umeofia, the CEO of Erisco Foods Limited, among other accolades.

The presentation of the generous cheque took place on July 28, 2023, at the premises of Erisco Foods Limited in Ikeja, Lagos.
