Yoruba Community Abuja Mourns Iyaloja

Date:

We received the news of transition to eternal glory of Chief Mrs Toyin Badmus with a big shock, we lost a leader and a mother. A foremost market women leader and an ardent promoter of Yoruba Culture and Values.

Chief Mrs Toyin Badmus was the first woman to occupy the two positions of Iyalode and Iyaloja of FCT Abuja at the same time. An indefatigable grassroots mobilizer for the 2023 General Election.

She was part of the APC Presidential Campaign Council for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the founder of Asiwaju Women Cooperative Society (AWCS).

In appreciation of her meritorious services to Yoruba Race, the Yoruba Community Abuja under the auspices of Alhaji Chief Hakeem Mosebolatan Adetunji awarded her during the 2022 Gala Night at the Yar’adua Centre, Abuja.

We ask God, the Almighty, to overlook her shortcomings and forgive her sins. May her gentle soul rest in perfect peace.
Sùn un re o, Iyalode Abuja
