Oluwatounse Adeniran is a fast rising actress and entrepreneur whose unwavering passion for acting is steadily transforming her dreams into reality. During her exclusive interview with Ranks Screen Correspondence, she graciously shared her inspiring journey into the captivating realm of filmmaking shared below;

Can you share with us your journey as an actor and how you got started in the industry? 

My journey as an actor is quite interesting, it all started around 2017, where a big sis(Mrs Bimpe) I usually disturb to help direct my path to becoming an actor, and then I got a call from Mr Tunde Layinka to come feature in a movie titled Yakoyo, since then I became more sure I wanted to be an actor

 

What has been the most challenging role you have played so far, and how did you prepare for it?  

Honestly I am still yet to act a challenging role which I can’t wait to

 

As a fast-rising actor, what do you think sets you apart from others in the industry? 

What sets me apart is my ability to interpret my role, ready to go all out just for who ever it may concern to understand my role

How do you choose the projects you want to be a part of? What criteria do you consider? 

The most important thing that attracts me to projects is how educative and informative it is and sometimes if it’s going to make the viewers forget their worries

 

Can you tell us about any upcoming projects you are currently working on or planning to work on? 

Yes, I’m currently co-producing a project titled Err(Asise), this project is informative, and the viewers will enjoy it. And please endeavour to watch it when it comes out by next month.

 

What do you enjoy most about acting, and what keeps you motivated in this competitive industry?  

Acting is fun for me, I like the fact I can be any character at anytime, I like the fact I can act out my viewers feelings cause some are going through a lot but can’t explain; concerning the competitiveness in the industry the sky is wide enough for everyone to fly, it’s a long race competition is not necessary Time would tell

As a rising star, how do you handle the pressure and expectations that come with your success?

Is there success without pressure, For me when pressure start to set in it’s a good feeling tho it’s not always pleasant but it’s a sign you are getting noticed; Expectations on the other hand I would say no matter how high the expectations are take it one step at a time

 

Are there any actors or directors who have influenced or inspired your work? 

If so, who are they and why? Yes a lot of Actors as inspired, like wise directors; like Titi jeje, S Ayinde, wasiu owoya I love their directing skills I really respect them

 

What advice would you give to aspiring actors who are just starting their journey in the industry? 

The journey is not a sprint but a marathon, be humble, make yourself teachable, there are times the phone won’t ring no one is going to call you or request for your skills , nothing is wrong just keep working on your acting skills and be so prepared for that big day cause it’s also going to come like the normal days only your preparation would shoot out how far you had go

 

Lastly, as you venture into producing your own movie, what are your goals and aspirations for this new role? 

My goal and aspiration for this new role is to showcase my acting skills and professionalism and to be sure truly dreams do come true
