Renowned Hollywood actor Carl Weathers, famous for portraying Apollo Creed in the initial four “Rocky” movies, has passed away at the age of 76, as confirmed by his manager Matt Luber on Friday.

His family expressed deep sorrow, stating that he peacefully departed in his sleep on Thursday, February 1, 2024. Remembered as an extraordinary individual, Weathers left an enduring legacy through his impactful contributions to film, television, arts, and sports.

Described as a beloved brother, father, grandfather, partner, and friend, he gained recognition globally across generations.

Weathers’ diverse career included memorable roles in films like “Predator,” “Happy Gilmore,” and a notable performance in “The Mandalorian,” earning him a Primetime Emmy Award nomination.
