Nigerian singer Temilade Openiyi has once again delighted the nation with a historic 2023 Oscar nomination for her contributions as a composer to “Lift Me Up”, one of the soundtracks to Marvel’s Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Wrote “Lift Me Up” with world singer Rihanna. music producer Ludwig Göransson; Black Panther director Ryan Coogler. The full list of nominees was released on Tuesday, with the sci-fi multiverse “Everything Everywhere All At Once” taking first place with 11 nominations. This was followed by Inisherin’s Irish black comedy Banshee and the World War I film Calm on the Western Front, nine each.

Here are the main categories of nominees for the 95th annual Oscars, which will be held on March 12 in Los Angeles.
