Award-winning filmmaker, actress and producer Funke Akindele has officially given audiences their first glimpse of her highly anticipated new feature film, The Four: No One Fights Alone. The newly released images offer a striking first look at the emotionally charged drama, which is set for a global cinema release on December 11, 2026.
Produced by Funke Akindele Network (FAAN TV) and distributed by FilmOne Entertainment, The Four marks the next major chapter for one of Africa’s most commercially successful filmmakers. The film follows Esosa and three fiercely loyal women who leave their community for the city to fight for the future of a young man they love — a journey that tests their courage, faith and loyalty in ways they never imagined.
True to Akindele’s commitment to telling distinctly Nigerian stories, The Four brings fashion, music and culture into its world. The film draws from Nigeria’s rich heritage, with Adire featuring prominently in the characters’ styling, while original music is woven into the narrative, extending the film’s creative expression beyond the screen.
At the centre of the story are Funke Akindele, Bisola Aiyeola, Chioma Akpotha and Waje, supported by an impressive ensemble that includes Richard Mofe-Damijo (RMD), Timini Egbuson, Lateef Adedimeji, Ali Nuhu, Uzor Arukwe, Ronke Oshodi Oke, Antar Laniyan and Wunmi Toriola. The production also features Afrobeats artiste Shoday, alongside Samuel Banks, Kolapo Omotosho and Ayomide Iwasokun, among others.

Akindele continues to redefine the commercial possibilities of Nigerian cinema. Her remarkable theatrical run includes Omo Ghetto: The Saga, Battle on Buka Street, A Tribe Called Judah, Everybody Loves Jenifa and Behind The Scenes — films that have repeatedly rewritten Nigerian box-office records and cemented her position as the country’s highest-grossing filmmaker and one of the continent’s defining creative forces. Most recently, Behind The Scenes became the first Nollywood film to cross ₦2 billion at the box office.

The Four: No One Fights Alone opens in cinemas globally on December 11, 2026, with FilmOne Entertainment handling its theatrical distribution.
The countdown has officially begun. Funke Akindele is returning to the big screen — and this time, no one fights alone.
