John Ikechukwu Okafor, affectionately known as Mr. Ibu, was a Nigerian actor and comedian who graced the entertainment industry with his exceptional talent. Born on October 17, 1961, in Enugu State, Nigeria, Mr. Ibu left an indelible mark on Nollywood, captivating audiences with his humor and wit.

In October 2023, Mr. Ibu revealed an ailment that threatened to necessitate leg amputation. Despite his health struggles, he remained optimistic, appealing to fans for prayers and financial assistance. The Abubakar Bukola Saraki Foundation stepped in, covering his medical expenses, but further support was still needed.

Illness and Farewell
In November 2023, Mr. Ibu underwent leg amputation due to his illness. Sadly, on March 2, 2024, he passed away from a cardiac arrest at Evercare Hospital in Lagos State. His legacy lives on, and his humor will continue to resonate for generations to come.

Sadly, John Okafor’s passing has left a void in the entertainment industry that will be difficult to fill. However, his legacy will live on through his timeless performances and the countless lives he touched with his humor and kindness.
