#NigeriaElection 2023: Tinubu leads 21 Sokoto local governments.

The All Progressive Congress presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, is maintaining his lead over his closest challenger, Atiku Abubakar, of the Peoples Democratic Party in Sokoto State.

According to the results declared so far by the Independent National Electoral Commission in the state before it went on break at about 12:32 am on Tuesday, the APC candidate is leading with about 1,847 votes ahead of the PDP.

The APC candidate according to the results declared in 21 local governments out of the total number of 23 has scored 253,636 in 11 local governments area while Atiku has scored 251,789 votes in 10 local governments remaining two local governments of Tambuwal and Sabon Birni respectively.

The candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, is trailing by a distant third with 6,512 votes followed by New Nigerian Peoples Party with 1,145.

The exercise is expected to resume by 2 am for the continuation of the two remaining local governments area of the state.
