Ranks 5-Star Honors represents the next chapter of that journey.
The programme brings Ranks Africa’s long-standing recognition work under a structured cross-industry framework designed to identify and celebrate demonstrated excellence, achievement, innovation and impact.
Selection is based on editorial research, available evidence and assessment against defined criteria. The honor itself cannot be purchased, and no purchase is required to be selected or recognised.
WHAT THE 5-STAR HONOR REPRESENTS
The Ranks 5-Star Honors designation recognises individuals and organisations that distinguish themselves within their respective fields through demonstrated performance, industry contribution, innovation, influence and sustained impact.
Depending on the category, Ranks may recognise up to five qualifying honorees, with each selected independently against the applicable assessment criteria.
Honorees are not ranked first to fifth. Each recipient independently earns the Ranks 5-Star Honors distinction.

RECOGNITION CANNOT BE PURCHASED
Ranks maintains a clear distinction between recognition and commercial services.
Being selected as a Ranks 5-Star Honoree is not conditional upon purchasing a physical plaque, magazine feature, advertising package, commercial badge licence or any other Ranks product or service.
Commercial recognition products become available only after an individual, company, brand or organisation has been selected or confirmed as an honoree.
Purchasing—or choosing not to purchase—any optional product does not change the recipient’s recognition status.
Recognition is earned. How you choose to commemorate and amplify it is up to you.
