On Friday, Lagos State Police Commissioner Idowu Owohunwa revealed a significant amount of evidence linking Naira Marley and Sam Larry to various offenses, including cyberbullying, physical abuse, threats to life, and assault against the late singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, also known as Mohbad. This disclosure occurred during a briefing in Lagos.
Mohbad’s untimely death in September raised questions, as videos of him being bullied and assaulted surfaced afterward.
Naira Marley (Abdulazeez Fashola), his former label boss, and Sam Larry (Samson Balogun), his associate, have been implicated as accomplices.
Commissioner Owohunwa stated, “While Abdulazeez Fashola (Naira Marley) and Samson Balogun (Sam Larry) vehemently denied any criminal involvement in Mohbad’s death, providing alibis to support their claims of non-complicity in the events of September 10-12, 2023, there exists substantial electronic and credible witness evidence linking them to cyberbullying, threats to life, assault resulting in harm, and behavior likely to incite a breach of peace against the deceased during his lifetime.
Furthermore, Owohunwa identified an auxiliary nurse, Ms. Feyisayo Ogedengbe, as the primary suspect in Mohbad’s death.
According to the Commissioner, Ogedengbe was invited by Mohbad’s friend, Ayobami Sodiq, also known as Spending, to administer three injections at the singer’s residence.
These injections are believed to have triggered a chain of reactions leading to Mohbad’s demise.
Ogedengbe, the Commissioner emphasized, was unqualified to perform the duties of a home nurse and carried out these actions in a non-clinical setting, raising further concerns about her role in this tragic incident.
