Tinubu celebrates the success of Osimhen, Oshoala, and Nnadozie in clinching the 2023 CAF Awards

President Bola Tinubu extends his congratulations to Victor Osimhen, Nigeria’s Super Eagles forward, for securing the prestigious CAF 2023 Men’s Player of the Year award.

In a statement released by his Media Adviser, Ajuri Ngelale, President Tinubu also lauds Asisat Oshoala of Nigeria’s Super Falcons, who claimed the 2023 CAF Women’s Player of The Year for the sixth time, and Chiamaka Nnadozie, honored as the Woman Goalkeeper of the Year.

The president expresses admiration for the Super Falcons, named Women’s National Team of the Year.

Commending Osimhen, Oshoala, and Nnadozie for their exceptional performances on both national and international platforms, President Tinubu sees them as sources of national pride and inspiration for aspiring footballers across the continent.

Reflecting on the awards ceremony in Marrakesh, Morocco, he emphasizes the belief that, with hard work, perseverance, and divine intervention, Nigeria possesses everything necessary for greatness.

The president applauds Victor and Asisat for remaining connected to their roots and acknowledging the vital role played by indigenous coaches in shaping their careers.

He concludes by joining Nigerian fans in fervently hoping that this well-deserved recognition marks the beginning of an enduring journey filled with success, triumphs, and the realization of all their footballing aspirations.
