Tinubu extends warm greetings to celebrate the 80th birthday of the Oba of Lagos

President Bola Tinubu has lauded the Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Akiolu, on the occasion of his 80th birthday today, which falls on October 28, 2023.

In a statement released by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, President Tinubu extended warm congratulations to the revered traditional ruler.

Tinubu described the Oba as a wellspring of wisdom and knowledge, emphasizing his steadfast commitment to preserving the rich culture and traditions of Lagos.

The President also highlighted the enduring friendship he shares with the Oba, acknowledging the crucial role the monarch played during his tenure as the Governor of Lagos State.

President Tinubu’s statement expressed the deep regard he holds for Oba Akiolu, considering him a trusted confidant and a close friend known for his integrity, honor, and unwavering honesty.

The President praised the Oba’s willingness to provide sage advice and fatherly guidance, attributing part of his success as the Governor of Lagos State to the support and counsel received from Oba Akiolu.
