VIDEO: People Saw Arrogance, Not The Struggle – ID Cabasa Speaks About 9ice
Popular Nigerian music producer and singer, Olumide Ogunade, professionally known as ID Cabasa, has said people saw arrogance in Nigerian singer, Abolore Akande, popularly known as 9ice, but they never saw his struggle.
He made this known in an interview with media personality, Chude Jideonwo, which was shared on Saturday.
He said in part, “People were seeing arrogance, but they never saw the struggle the man was going through with a lot of things that was going on in his head.
“He (9ice) even did some songs and he was trying to tell people he is human. So, for me, what people said at some point affected 9ice, I won’t say it didn’t affect him and it is the same thing that is affecting a lot of legends.
“I don’t think 9ice is just a music artist, I think 9ice is an idea.”
He added, “9ice would not have even become a music artist, he wanted to learn music production. I was teaching 9ice music production and I would tell him, Ogbeni go and record for people. After recording, I will still record the stuff because he won’t get it.”
