Why it’s crucial for me to be present during the DNA test for Mohbad’s son

Date:

Joseph Aloba, the father of the late Nigerian musician Ilerioluwa Olademeji Aloba, known as Mohbad, has provided reasons for his insistence that the Deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) test for his deceased child’s son, Liam, must be conducted in his presence.

Aloba stressed the importance of the DNA test to resolve the heated controversy surrounding the paternity of the child and other issues involving his son, the former Marlian singer, and his wife.

He spoke in an interview with Stams TV, emphasizing the significance of the test and refuting rumors about the DNA test mentioned in a post by popular skit maker OGBCultist, believed to be Mohbad’s friend.

Furthermore, Aloba proposed that the DNA test should be carried out at two different hospitals to ensure the accuracy of the results.

He stated, “Regarding the DNA test, it’s imperative that they conduct it. Nigerians are demanding it.

I’ve heard rumors about its completion, but regardless, as Mohbad’s father, I’m willing to consent to the DNA test or appoint a representative if I cannot be present during the procedure. I insist that it should be performed at two distinct locations to ascertain the truth.”

Aloba also expressed his personal interest in the police concluding their investigation swiftly to allow for the burial of his late child. He mentioned, “I will contact the police chief to inquire if we can proceed with the burial.

Many have reported sightings of Mohbad’s ghost, which is likely due to the delay in his burial. I would greatly appreciate it if this matter is addressed as soon as possible.”

MohBad passed away on September 12, 2023, at the age of 27, leading to controversies and nationwide protests among Nigerians.

His former label boss, Azeez Fashola (Naira Marley), and his associate, Samson Balogun (Sam Larry), were named among the five prime suspects in the case.
