BTN Sales YAKATA 5.0 Set to Celebrate Nigerian Businesses with ‘The Sales Carnival’

Date:

After successfully hosting four editions, BrandTell Business Network (BTN), has announced the fifth edition of ‘BTN Sales YAKATA’, scheduled to hold from Friday, November 27, to Sunday, November 29, 2026, at the Ikorodu Ferry Terminal, Lagos.

A thriving coalition of more than 400 brand owners across various industries in Nigeria under the umbrella of media and public relations company BrandTell Nigeria, the ‘BTN Sales YAKATA’ will run daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

According to the organisers, BTN Sales YAKATA 5.0 will be held under the theme ‘The Sales Carnival’, bringing together business, culture and tradition in a celebration of Nigerian enterprise and the entrepreneurial spirit.
The three-day event will provide a platform for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to showcase their products and services, connect with prospective customers and increase their visibility.

Organisers expect at least 100 participating business owners from both product-based and service-based sectors.
The opening day, Friday, November 27, will feature the official flag-off and declaration of the event open, setting the stage for a weekend of business exhibitions, customer engagement and cultural celebration.

Adenike Fagbemi – Convener Brandtel Nigeria Network

According to Adenike Ashogbon-Fagbemi, Executive Director of BrandTell Nigeria, beyond its commercial focus, this year’s edition seeks to recognise the resilience of small business owners across Nigeria and, by extension, Africa, particularly those who continue to build and sustain their enterprises amid prevailing economic challenges.

Adenike noted that the theme reflects the organisation’s vision of combining enterprise with cultural identity while creating opportunities for business owners to reach wider audiences.

“BTN Sales YAKATA is more than a sales event; it is a celebration of the courage, creativity and determination of Nigerian entrepreneurs. With ‘The Sales Carnival’ as our theme, we are bringing business and culture together to showcase the richness of our traditions while celebrating the people who continue to build businesses despite the economic challenges they face,” she said.

She added that the ability of small business owners to continue showing up, innovating and serving their customers demonstrates the enormous potential within Nigeria’s SME sector.

“These entrepreneurs have shown remarkable resilience and a can-do spirit, even in a difficult economic climate. Imagine what they could achieve with greater access to grants, affordable low-interest loans, government support and effective public-private partnerships. Our SMEs have the drive and ideas; what they need is an enabling environment and the resources to scale,” she said.

Through the event, BTN aims to create opportunities for participating businesses to display their offerings, engage directly with consumers and strengthen their presence in the marketplace. The gathering is also expected to encourage networking among entrepreneurs and highlight the contribution of small businesses to local economic activity.

Adenike noted that celebrating Nigerian businesses also means recognising the culture, traditions and community values that shape how entrepreneurs create products, deliver services and connect with their customers.
