The singer is known to be especially fond of his mother, and has sang about her many times.
Since the singer made the announcement, many of his colleagues and fans have been sending a deluge of condolence messages.
Pasuma’s one-time rival, Saheed Osupa, wrote, “May Almighty Allah make Aljannah Firdaus her final abode. You shall not be forsaken after her demise. Be strong, brother.”
