Date:

Two Osogbo residents, Akinniyi Temitope (41) and Abiodun Oluwakemi (31), appeared before a Federal High Court in Osogbo on Thursday, facing charges related to human trafficking.

According to the charge sheet, they allegedly conspired to transport 20-year-old Kehinde Opeyemi from Osogbo to Libya for exploitative labor.

The National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons brought the charges, stating that the offenses occurred in November 2023 within the Osogbo metropolis.

The defendants, accused of violating the Trafficking in Person (Prohibition) Enforcement and Administration Act 2015, pleaded not guilty.
