Celebrated Nollywood star Toyin Abraham has adopted one of the students that participated in the Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu sponsored ‘Film in a box’ training and project.
At one of the recently concluded training which held in Alimosho area of Lagos State, a student of Africa Film Academy, Abiola Oyetunde, was selected by the ‘Alakada’ star to join her team.
Oyetunde, who was one of the 13 finalists selected by Toyin Abraham-Ajeyemi said he was glad to have been chosen from the thousands of writers who applied across the country.
He professed to being glad for the opportunity that was afforded him by the Africa Film Academy.
In his words, “I was really Toyin Abrahamglad to have been a part of the Film in a box training. Learning about synopses, situations, and treatment has helped me to take hold of this opportunity. We get to do the same thing here as a team. I am grateful to Mummy Toyin Abraham for this opportunity and to AFA.”
The ‘Film in a box’ project and training is one of the projects commissioned by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu under the THEMES agenda through the Uzamat Akinbile-Yussuf led Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Arts. The project is scheduled to hold in Epe, Badagry, Ikorodu, and Alimosho areas of Lagos state.
On her part, founder Africa Film Academy and AMAAs, Peace Anyiam-Osigwe said she’s delighted about the move. She further said the adoption shows that the Governor Sanwo-Olu supported project is making landmark strides among youths in the Lagos metropolis.
