Kehinde Bankole has joined the cast of “Kizazi Moto: Generation Fire,” a 10-part Disney+ Original series of premium original films inspired by Africa’s unique histories and cultures.
The “Blood Sisters” actress was announced as one of the cast members, along with “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” actress Florence Kasumba, South African rapper and “Blood & Water” actor Nasty C.
According to Variety, never-before-seen artwork from the series earned loud cheers and acclaim from the Annecy audience on Wednesday, during the ongoing Annecy International Animation Film Festival.
This animated anthology brings together a new generation of animation stars and creators from Zimbabwe, Uganda, South Africa, Nigeria, Kenya, and Egypt, who will offer their ideas to take viewers across the globe on a wild voyage into Africa’s future. These action-packed sci-fi and fantasy stories present bold visions of advanced technology, aliens, spirits and monsters imagined from uniquely African perspectives.
Oscar-winning director Peter Ramsey (“Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse”) will serve as executive producer for the anthology, with Tendayi Nyeke and Anthony Silverston as supervising producers.
Popular Nollywood actor and singer, Moses Armstrong has been arrested by men of the Akwa Ibom State Police Command for allegedly defiling a 16-year-old girl.
Confirming his arrest, the national president of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, Emeka Rollas, during a chat with Qed.ng, described the case as “a very serious one”.
He said it is being handled by the First Lady of the state, Martha Udom Emmanuel through her Family Empowerment and Youth Re-Orientation Path Initiative.
The AGN president added that the accusation was a sad development, as it involves one of their own.
However, he said the organisation will not condone such a crime.
“To get involved with a child as young as 16yrs, is not something I and the association I represent, would stand for.
“This is a very sad development involving a member of ours, but I wouldn’t want to comment any further on this case,” he said.
Armstrong until his arrest was a Special Assistant to the Akwa Ibom State Governor, Udom Emmanuel.
He lost his wife and colleague, Rita Armstrong in 2018.
Rita according to reports died from spinal cord injuries she sustained from an accident.

Sensational Nollywood filmmaker Mercy Aigbe had a successful premiere of her newly released movie titled JAGUDA BABA OLE in the United Kingdom.
The movie shot under the auspice of Adekaz Films Productions in conjunction with Magdiva Films was premiered on the 20th of May at IMAX Cinemas, Greenwich, London. The success recorded indicated the high level of overwhelming patronage of Nollywood movies by International audience.
Speaking to newsmen on the turnout at the premiere, Producer Mercy Aigbe expressed untamed excitement as she thanked those who came all out from all corners of UK to support her. In her words, “today is a memorable one for me and my team. I cannot keep this joy to myself. I am most glad seeing people leave the cinema with fulfilled smiles and pleasant reactions”.
Alhaji Kazim Adeoti, the Executive Producer of JAGUDA BABA OLE movie also commended the Nigerian community in the UK for standing with their own- Mercy Aigbe. For him as the executive producer, the success of the premiere is an indication of good business. Adeoti maintained that “with these huge numbers at the premiere, it implies that we have done a good business. Being the first indigenous movie to be shown in this world class cinema, it has positioned us as pace setters for other intending filmmakers from the world. Premised on this, we are working on taking the movie to other parts of the world such as United States of America, Brazil, Cuba and several other western countries with considerable number of Yorubas as residents.
The movie JAGUDA BABA OLE parades top actors such as Ibrahim Yekinni (Itele), Adeniyi Johnson, Yinka Qaudri and Funsho Adeolu among others.

Burna Boy gives his all to his performances
In the feature, Ronami Ogulu, Burna Boy’s sister, stylist and creative director said: “He gives his all. And when he comes off (stage), you’ll see him in the dressing room, falling flat out on the floor and shaking. Then he comes up and we patch him all together and we go again the next day.”

Burna Boy wants to use his music as a bridge builder for all Black people worldwide
The music star tells Heran that his calling is to spread his signature Afro-fusion music all over the world. “It has always been my vision to build a bridge between all Black people in all parts of the world through the music and performance. Music is the No. 1 messenger,” he states.
Early this year, Asake cemented his place in the industry with his catchy singles “Sungba” and “Omo Ope” which are sure to get any listener in the mood to party.

Burna Boy has released “Last Last,” the first track from his upcoming sixth studio album, “Love, Damini.”
The Grammy-winning artist debuted the breakup-themed song on the night of his historic Madison Square Garden show, much to the delight of those in attendance and those who watched the event live from across the globe.
