Afrobeats Heavyweight, Davido debuted his first PUMA collections.

Afrobeat Heavyweight, David Adedeji Adeleke, better known by his stage name Davido,  recently unveiled his first collections with PUMA, a major German sportswear brand.

After being named a PUMA global ambassador last year, Davido walked the PUMA runway at New York Fashion Week last month and has continued the momentum with the new collection.

PUMA is renowned for its innovative collaborations with pop singers and famous people, like Usain Bolt, Rihanna, Nomzamo Mbatha, and other well-known figures. According to PUMA, the collection is described as “The first PUMA x DAVIDO collection, filled with bold, statement pieces inspired by the award-winning artist’s roots.”

“Lift Me Up”, Rihanna’s new single for the #WakandaForever was co-written by Riri and Tems

The singer and cosmetics tycoon is making a splashy comeback with a new song called “Lift Me Up” after taking a lengthy hiatus from the music industry. According to Variety, this serves as the album’s lead song for “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.”

Tems, Rihanna, Ryan Coogler, and Oscar winner Ludwig Göransson all contributed to the song’s composition. It serves as an homage to the late Chadwick Boseman’s life and work.

Tems described the song as follows:

After speaking with Ryan and hearing his direction for the film and the song, I wanted to write something that portrays a warm embrace from all the people that I’ve lost in my life. I tried to imagine what it would feel like if I could sing to them now and express how much I miss them. Rihanna has been an inspiration to me so hearing her convey this song is a great honor.

Afrobeats just became much bigger!

We couldn’t help but notice a well-known voice in the video’s theme tune when Marvel Studios published a new “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” trailer. Hello, Rema!

I was speechless when I heard my voice in the Black Panther teaser. The musician tweeted a trailer with the comment, “Big ups to everyone who helped make this possible, Wakanda Forever!

After Tems, he is the second Nigerian musician who has music on the trailer’s soundtrack.

Everyone is going through a difficult period, therefore Rebecca Nengi Hampson urges everyone to pitch in and help the Bayelsa flood victims in whatever way they can.

The reality star uploaded a video on the internet to inform everyone about how terrible the situation is for Bayelsa flood victims. She quietly explained some of what she had done so far and urged those in authority to take further action, assuring everyone that this too would pass.

She shared the below video, captioned: The flood in Bayelsa State has destroyed Hospitals, Schools, Lands, Houses and other key infrastructure in the state. Thousands of people are struggling to live as the flood has displaced them.
I want to appeal to everyone to raise awareness and give (no matter how little) to the people of Bayelsa. I will also like to appeal to the State and Federal Government for their urgent intervention as the people need all the support.
