“Because of my role in the shanty Town, I don’t clean or shower all day long” – Chidi Mokeme.

Nigerian actor Chidi Mokeme revealed how he played his role in the six-episode series “Shanty Town”

The series tells the story of a group of prostitutes who want to escape the influence of an infamous king, but quickly find it extremely difficult to do so due to political corruption and family ties.

Mokeme has won the hearts of many fans and received many awards for his portrayal of Scar King.

The actor told BBC Pidgin on Thursday that he had to undergo drastic physical changes for the role.

Nollywood actor Muyiwa Ademola remembers his fans as he celebrates his birthday today, January 26, 2023.

In a lengthy post on his Instagram page, the actor looks back at his humble beginnings and reminisces about his childhood. Muyiwa tells the story of growing up in a poor neighborhood with no electricity and having to sleep in a bed during her school days. He said he never celebrated a birthday until he was 25 and only ate chicken at Christmas, but he is still grateful for her journey because birthdays remind him of how far he has come.

“It is my Birthday and I am super happy.

I grew up in Ojaba, Ibadan! A real slum! No electricity in my house till my final year in secondary school. I never slept on a mattress throughout my high school because we had just one for my parents! We always do 1-0-1 (I’m used to it all now). We would trek from Ojaba to Labo/Oranyan every other day go fetch drinking water. We never had a TV until after my secondary education. Never celebrated my birthday until I clocked 25. We eat chicken only once during Christmas time (Except an hen drop dead than we….komalo ku ni “gifa” PAUSE!

I wrote these following films with just school cert; Akinkaju, Iyonu Olorun, Ogo Osupa and Ori! Went back to the Uni, 12 years after my secondary education. PAUsE! (A films is coming on it later). Can you see why you just need to say Thank God on my behalf? Never believe I could!

Popular blogger Linda Ikeji has yet to respond to a February 3, 2022 request by disgruntled parents of the boys to put the film on hold.

The grieving parents of four Port Harcourt University students who were killed by the mafia in the village of Aluu in 2012 have asked popular blogger Linda Ikeji and Netflix to halt the scheduled release of their movie Black October. The film tells about the murder in October 2012 of a student codenamed Aluu-4.

Families of the slain students were consulted before filming began, according to a statement released Wednesday by Livingston wechie, executive director of The Integrity Friends for Truth and Peace Initiative (TIFFI) advocacy group in Port Harcourt, Rivers. The film, which was released last September, is slated to release on February 3rd.
