Big Brother Naija, BBNaija season 7 housemate, Adekunle has said he’s willing to pack his bags and forfeit N100m grand prize for the show.

Adekunle said this after his heated argument with Sheggz on Tuesday night.

The BBNaija housemates got into a heated argument after Adekunle said Sheggz is not an intellectual.

This happened while the housemates were having a discussion on schools.

Speaking after his argument, Adekunle said he would have gotten angry and decided to fight Sheggz if he was willing to.

Adekunle said: “I am not even angry this night. My anger is bad, that is why I told Sheggz ‘let us decide’.

If both of us agree that we will collect a strike and we will forfeit the 100 million, we will fight it. I am ready. I’ll pack my bags if he is down and we’ll both go home together.”

 

 

 

 

 

Africa youths taking back leadership — Rudeboy

Popular twin entertainer Paul Okoye aka Rudeboy has said youths across the African continent are intentionally taking back leadership.

Buttressing his point Rudeboy cited the recent change of leadership where the opposition leader, Hakainde Hichilema defeated incumbent Edgar Lungu in Zambia’s presidential election; and in Kenya where the Deputy President, William Ruto won Raila Odinga, a veteran opposition leader and five-time presidential candidate backed by outgoing President Uhuru Kenyatta.

The “Reason With Me” singer further wondered the next African country the wave will take place.

He said: “There’s a heavy wave of change in leadership across Africa… young people are taking back their country first. It was Zambia, now Kenya… which country is next? And they say it’s just social media.”

 

 

Pain and agony in heart for not helping a fan- Tonto Dikeh

Actress Tonto Dikeh has expressed deep regret and shame over the death of a young kid.

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) Deputy Governorship candidate Rivers State narrated how an encounter with a fraudster made her presume a genuine helper-seeker was fake.

Dikeh claimed in her post that she had assisted a fan who had complained about having a difficult time and shown her baby as proof.

The actress felt sorry for the fan and handed her N370, 000 but when she went back to check the social media profile and saw that it had been erased, she felt deceived and let down.

The mother of one claimed she later received a similar message from a fan asking for medical help but ignored it and deleted the message.

Unfortunately, she received a message on Wednesday morning from the woman, saying her son was dead.

This, she said, hurt her so much, adding that she will hate and beat herself for a long time for believing it was a fake post.

She wrote: ”Few weeks ago I helped out a random fan with almost half a million naira (370k) cause they had mad challenges and she showed a baby and all, one week later I just wanted to check on them. BOOM the account has been deleted, I took it with good faith. I was so pissed, I felt used and taken for granted but I moved on.

FF to 2days ago, I saw similar message, seeking for medical assistance. The way I deleted and ignored the message ehn, this morning I opened my DM the mother told me her son died…… My eyes hurt from crying. My heart aches so bad….

“I will hate myself for a very long time. See the amount of damage one person lies and choices have caused. My heart goes out to everyone going through one thing or the other!!

“I will beat myself up for this for as long as I stop feeling guilty but the person who made me ignore that message I pray you suffer more than the grieving mothers.”

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mr P. blast youth who do not deploy their smartphones for productivity

Singer Peter Okoye aka Mr P has taken a swipe at jobless graduates with ‘misplaced priorities’.

The P Square twin in a post chided graduates who do not deploy their smartphones for productivity especially on social media.

According to him, despite being without job, many graduates strive to get  smartphones, making a case for those responsible for their joblessness.

Mr P stated: “A graduate with no job. You manage to buy smartphone, came on social media and started defending people that made you jobless.”

 

Khalid denies having sex with Daniella

Evicted BBNaija season 7 “Level Up” housemate Khalid has denied sleeping with Daniella while on the show.

The freelance graphic designer during a recent interview “divulged’ what went down between his love interest and him under the duvet.

Khalid and Daniella topped discourse topics on several social media platforms during his short-lived stay in the Big Brother House.

The duo was caught on camera at different times getting ‘freaky’ under the duvet at light-out.

In one of the occasions, it also caught a fellow housemate, Amaka sticking out her head from her bed just to probe the ongoing action.

But Khalid in the viral interview teaser with media personality, Victoria Eze aka Miz Vik denied having s3x on the show.

According to him, “My body is a temple. What happened was just aggressive kissing and cuddling. We didn’t forget the cameras but I didn’t neglect my feelings.

PMAN’s biometric ID card for launch at NEC meeting

Pretty Okafor led Performing Musicians Employers Association of Nigeria (PMAN), is set to hold its first National Executive Council (NEC) Convention and launch of PMAN Biometric ID card.

According to Okafor, the PMAN biometric ID card is done in partnership with Zenith Bank.

He said the launch of the biometric ID card will hold at the Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos on Wednesday, August 24, 2022.

 

Okafor also said after the unveiling of “the new and improved PMAN Biometrics ID cards, the cards will be issued to the first batch of registered members across the country.”

He also urged the invited guests to honour the invitation saying the event would set the ball rolling for greater things to come for the betterment of the Nigerian entertainment industry.

In his remarks, PMAN’s 2nd vice president, Zaaki Azay, said the progress in PMAN is “borne out of the synergy and unity in the association, made possible through a series of court judgements that have authenticated and reaffirmed Pretty Okafor as the national leader, and has prohibited any act of factionalism within the musicians’ union.

 

 

 

Eniola Ajao kidnap Odunlade, Sobowale in Àjàkà’jú

Popular Nollywood actress and producer Eniola Ajao has featured Odunlade Adekola and Sola Sobowale in her latest flick entitled: ‘Àjàkà’jú – beast of two worlds.’

The indigenous flick, which was co-directed by Adebayo Tijani and Odunlade Adekola, also features Bimbo Akintola, Ibrahim Chatta, Adedimeji Lateef, Femi Adebayo, Faithia Balogun, Mercy Aigbe, Eniola Ajao, Peju Ogunmola, Yinka Quadri, and Odunlade Adekola amongst other great actors.

Speaking about her achievement, Ajao said, “I am not sparing anything to make this movie a hit and it will surely hit the cinema this December 2022.”

Àjàkà’jú – beast of two worlds’ tells the story of a powerful lady, Àjàkà’jú, who is both human and an animal. She bestrode the forest at night, making lives difficult for hunters, killing and maiming some of them. She destroys crops and cripples the economy of the town. The king, Towobola went into the forest to confront Àjàkà’jú, after an epic battle, the king and Àjàkà’jú reached a pact to marry each other with the hope that ÀJÀKÀ’JÚ would bear male children as all kids borne for the kings are females.’

 

 

 

Toyin Abraham adopts Film in a box student

Celebrated Nollywood star Toyin Abraham has adopted one of the students that participated in the Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu sponsored ‘Film in a box’ training and project.

At one of the recently concluded training which held in Alimosho area of Lagos State, a student of Africa Film Academy, Abiola Oyetunde, was selected by the ‘Alakada’ star to join her team.

Oyetunde, who was one of the 13 finalists selected by Toyin Abraham-Ajeyemi said he was glad to have been chosen from the thousands of writers who applied across the country.

He professed to being glad for the opportunity that was afforded him by the Africa Film Academy.

In his words, “I was really Toyin Abrahamglad to have been a part of the Film in a box training. Learning about synopses, situations, and treatment has helped me to take hold of this opportunity. We get to do the same thing here as a team. I am grateful to Mummy Toyin Abraham for this opportunity and to AFA.”

The ‘Film in a box’ project and training is one of the projects commissioned by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu under the THEMES agenda through the Uzamat Akinbile-Yussuf led Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Arts. The project is scheduled to hold in Epe, Badagry, Ikorodu, and Alimosho areas of Lagos state.

On her part, founder Africa Film Academy and AMAAs, Peace Anyiam-Osigwe said she’s delighted about the move. She further said the adoption shows that the Governor Sanwo-Olu supported project is making landmark strides among youths in the Lagos metropolis.

The trailer for “Anikulapo,” a film produced by Nigerian filmmaker and actor Kunle Afolayan, is finally here.

The film, which formed part of the Netflix multi-title agreement with Kunle Afolayan, is a one-of-a-kind mystical folklore drama revolving around the life of Saro, a young zealous man seeking greener pastures in the great Oyo Kingdom. However, unfolding events and his illicit affair with the king’s wife, Arolake, lead to his untimely death and an encounter with Akala, a mystical bird believed to give and take life.

It which revolves around death, resurrection, and greed, will debut on Netflix on September 30.
